Academic Programs
We help L&S units propose and create new programs, suspend admission or discontinue programs, change programs, and update requirements in Guide.
Program Review
We coordinate the required cyclical (typically 10- or 5-year) program review process for L&S departments. Reviews are designed to assess quality and effectiveness of academic programs.
Courses
We support L&S units with the process of creating, changing, and discontinuing courses.
Course Access
We monitor course enrollments at the college level during SOAR, to ensure we have enough courses in key introductory courses for incoming freshmen and transfer students.
Course Planning, Data Analysis, and Decision-Making
We provide data to departments to help them with instructional and course planning.
Summer Term
We coordinate with L&S units on summer term plans, including course offerings, staffing, and strategic planning in regards to the summer budget model.
L&S Academic Governance Committees
We staff and support the L&S Academic Planning Council and L&S Curriculum Committee. We help departments submit complete proposals that include the information committees need to make decisions.
